Competition Rules

The Airgun Slynger is a fast-draw, bracket-style competition that combines speed and accuracy for a fun and challenging event. Competitors, paired up against each other, must knock down the designated targets (standard 1/10 scale NRA Chicken, Pig, Turkey and Ram targets) at varying distances in the shortest time possible.

There are two subsets of rules to play by for Gunslynger matches.  You can either shoot in the more traditional benched style, or Field Target style (FT).  FT style has been introduced for those that may not have access to benches for their shooters.

For FT match directors looking for a new way to spice up their FT events, FT style does not require benches and shooters do not need to bring anything more than what they would bring to shoot a normal Field Target match.
